Roads

All of our roads used to be identified by Fire Lane numbers. When Piscataquis County went to the 911 system, they wanted road names and numbers (Ellen Bridge). Juanita Lane was named as a reference back to the Lake Juanita.

Richards Lane originally connected to Pond Road through the property which is now Spacious Skies Campground (Balsam Woods). Sunset Lane was created when that portion of the farm land was developed as Lazy Larry's Campground in 1990. The maps show the early roads and camp locations. The 1950 map shows how little development had occurred up to that point.
